We are happy to announce the addition of Vega Brhely, L.Ac, Dipl. OM to the staff at Boulder Sports Acupuncture!
Vega Brhely studied at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago before graduating from Southwest Acupuncture College in Boulder, Colorado with a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is nationally certified as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine by the NCCAOM, meeting the requirements of at least 1,490 hours of clinical and classroom training in acupuncture and biomedicine, as well as 2,050 hours of clinical and classroom training in Chinese herbal medicine. She specializes in sports acupuncture and stress relief, and loves to work with cyclists.
An avid cyclist and bicycle enthusiast, Vega wants nothing more than to share her passion for movement with others and help them achieve their optimal physical performance. She races road, mountain, cross, and track casually (what she lacks in speed, she more than makes up for in passion and enthusiasm for riding) and can frequently be found with one of her 5 beloved two-wheeled beauties on the surrounding mountain roads and trails.
In addition to her acupuncture training, Vega is a Retül certified bike fit technician and works out of Bicycle Village in Boulder doing advanced and dynamic bike fits. She combines her knowledge of acupuncture and the human body with body mechanics on a bicycle to achieve her ultimate goal of helping cyclists become healthy and pain-free, prevent injuries, and speed recovery time. She says, “I see fitting bikes as an extension of my acupuncture career – it’s just another way of helping people find joy on their bikes!”
Vega will be available for appointments 8-6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays, as well as Monday and Wednesday mornings.
To find out more about Vega and her practice, you can check out her website at www.hillclimbacupuncture.com. If you’re interested in the bike fit side, please visit the Bicycle Village website for scheduling details.
